Definitions

From a simple slide show,  to VR experiences, to Learn Around The World; it seems almost anything can be classified as a Virtual Field Trip these days. At Learn Around The World we like to further segment these experiences into guided and self-guided experiences. Both styles are valuable experiences. Our programs fall within the guided variety.  

Guided Virtual Field Trips synchronous experiences. They are led by live interpreters. These guides answer your questions and interactive with you during your exploration.

Self-Guided Virtual Field Trips are asynchronous experiences. These are the VR apps, interactive maps, and other fantastic tools that let’s you explore on your own time. 

Virtual Field Trips (Programs)

We offer both pre-scheduled virtual field trips and bookable virtual field trips. Our pre-scheduled programs, called GEOshow, are free and member gated. Our bookable programs are private and paid for service.

GEOshow

The GEOshow is our series of free virtual field trips. These programs are prescheduled before the start of each school semester.

We would love to run more free programs. However, free programs are not free to run and the funding needs to come from somewhere. If you would like to volunteer and help us fundraise, please reach out. 

GEOshow Plus virtual field trips are semi-private experiences. These programs are scheduled before the start of each school semester and can only be accessed by our GEOclub+ members.
